Katie at 9 months

Well, everything was going well at her 9 month checkup, but it's been rough ever since. She's had pink eye twice (and both her parents are currently sick as well, sigh). Hopefully, the drops Dr. Walker prescribed will work this time, at least for Katie.

Nevertheless, despite her discomfort, she's still a remarkably pleasant baby, even though she looks so serious in this picture.

You can see a bit of her "lighter side" in this video, though. It feels like she learns a new gesture or sound every day now.

Katie's 8 months old

Katie is doing fine, and she's changing so much it's difficult to keep up. She now has five teeth, only partially showing, but still easy to see, and she is as picky about food as Mommy and Daddy are.

She still won't crawl, but she loves to stand with some support.

Neither Cindy nor I have had much time for pictures recently, so this one from her daycare will have to suffice.

I'll try to make the posts more frequent (if only I could win the Lottery!).

Katie's Christmas Pictures

We had a few pictures of Katie taken for Christmas, and to mark her sixth month. Of course, they're all cute, but the Christmas hats are particularly so.

Katie's Milestones

We just took Katie to the doctor, and she wieghs 17 lbs 5 oz now, which is no longer in the 90th percentile. Everything else is going very, very well, and she's started participating in more complicated activities.


She really likes her book collection.

And, she's had her first bowl of cereal.

But, she still mostly just sleeps. Of course, no matter what she does, Mommy and Daddy could not be happier.

Trick or Treat

Katie did actually get to play a little bit of dress up for Halloween.

Katie's Personality

Well, our little girl is really becoming inquisitive, and some particular personality quirks are appearing. She really likes to examine new things, and really wants to know everything that's going on around her. The other day, Cindy put her Winter gloves and hat on just to see Katie's reaction, and it was typical, quizzical, Katie.




She's also started to become more aware of the camera. Cindy took this picture during some tummy time, and Katie knows the camera is on her. Really, we can't decide which picture is our favorite.




However, we know we love to hear her laugh.
